The mission of ADBC is guided by the constitution of our organization. Chartered as a non-profit group, our stated goals are:

A. To ensure a lifestyle of independence, dignity, and empowerment for deaf-blind individuals and their support persons, by the provision and promotion of high-quality services, information, advocacy, and quality-of-life enhancement programs.

B. To provide equal social interaction and foster community for deaf-blind individuals and their support persons regardless of their race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or disability.

C. To work towards a better understanding of the unique challenges associated with deaf-blindness, in collaboration and consultation with its members.

D. To assure that communication of information is presented through the use of the preferred communication modes of deaf-blind individuals and their support persons.
