MWADB Board is proud to announce upcoming events for this year. Please
reserve those special dates for exciting social activities. We welcome
your ideas as MWADB is your organization for educational and social

March 27th - Happy Irish Time - Potluck and Guest Speaker
Metro Washington Association of Deaf Blind (MWADB) Recreational, Social, and Culture (RSC) Committee is proud to announce another exciting social event. This one is called Happy Irish Time. It is a potluck dinner and each one brings a green dish. There will be a prize for the person who dresses the most in the green. Good luck to the winner!

There will be a guest Speaker Dave Frank, who is a deaf financial advisor, will give us updated information about financial planning. Come and learn what is new with financial planning.

What: The Green Potluck Party
Date: March 27, 2010
Time: 5-10pm
Where: Gallaudet University Student Academic Center (SAC), Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). The campus is located at 800 Florida Ave NE, Washington DC 20002

Admission: 5 dollars for members, 10 dollars for non members if not bring food. Free if bring food. Please let RSC know what foods/drinks you will bring to the party:

- Green dish (veggie and meat)
- Soda
- Salads
- Any others

April 17th - U.S. Capitol Tour and lunch
We meet at the Union Station at 9:45 am and then walk to the U.S. Capitol. We will go thru security stem and then on a tour. After the tour we will have lunch at UNO.

RSVP is required and contact Phillip Smith. Deadline is April 15th. Up to 20 people

May 1st - MWADB Annual Picnic at Wheaton Regional park
2000 Shorefield Road
Wheaton, Md.
Meet at sheltered table G at 11 am onwards. It is from 11 am to 5 pm.

Sign-up food list is handled by Phillip Smith.

August 21st - Splashdown Water Park in Manassas, Virginia
Time is from 12 to 5 pm. Lunch will be served at 1 pm. RSVP by August 20th is required to Phillip Smith.

September 25th - Swedish Dinner and Guest Speaker
A delicious Swedish dinner. Our guest speaker, Mike Tindel, will talk about DVC.
The site for this event will be announced at a later date.

Admission fee - $5 for students and members, $7 for non-members.

RSVP to Phillip Smith. Deadline is September 24th

October 16th - German Fest
Location and time will be announced.

November 13th - Holiday Feast and Auction
This event is a combination of Thanksgiving and Christmas and Chakkah. Everyone bring their favorite dish to share.
Auction will take place after dinner. So save your money to auction an unique item!
